Lecture Resources

It might be imagined that a teacher wishing to use Phasor in a lecture theatre would be happy to use the full Phasor interface. However, some lecturers (perhaps not overly familiar with the interface) might find the idea of interacting with a simulation and changing parameters during a lecture a little daunting. It is possible to set up a series of pre-set states within the JeLSIM Environment for use in a presentation (e.g. within PowerPoint). These resources can be made available after the lecture as applets together with further support material.

In this resource there are three interfaces which graphically demonstrate:

The interfaces have been kept deliberately simple and large fonts have been used to ensure relevant objects are visible to the audience. The interface has been designed with use of buttons rather than text input, to minimise interface manipulation during the lecture. There are no instructions or other information as it is assumed they will be described by the teacher in the lecture.

With the addition of some notes by the lecturer, the slides allow the student to explore the lecture concepts in their own time. (Note that these slides are intended as a demonstration only and are not a full exposition of the subject)
