Amending Practical Interfaces This section of the website will describe some of the ways in which you can amend existing interface to suit your own requirements. It does not explain how to amend the look and feel of the interface,as it is assumed that you have, as recommended, already run through the online training material and understand how the JelSIM system fits together and that you are capable of adding, deleting and customising interface components. If you feel unsure of your capabilities, completing the tutorial on building your own interface will help. Note: The results provided by these simulations are close to the data obtained when the experiments are carried out in the laboratory. However, it has not been possible to obtain accurate values for the activation energy and pre-exponential factors in all cases. If you are planning to substantially alter the conditions under which one of these experiments in run, check the results out carefully. We will add to this section if we receive specific requests. Mail rct@jelsim.org to request additional tutorials. The following tutorials, cover a number of ways in which the practicals can be amended. The first three tutorials are relevant if you wish to change the chemical reaction being simulated. The 4th option can be used to change the complexity of the plotting option to suit different levels of student.:
