Building an interface This section of the website will describe how to produce a fairly simple practical interfrace. The assumption is that you have, as recommended already run through the online training material and understand how the JelSIM system fits together. Though you will be given detailed information on how to put a simple interface together, if you want to experiment with something different, there is a comprehensive description of all variables available to the interface designer. The simple interface which we will construct is shown on the first page: The next few linked pages take you through the process of creating this interface.
Stage 1: Loading the Model The instructions are designed allow you to get an idea of the stages involved and feel confident enough to produce your own interfaces. The instructions given include customisation to achieve the above appearance, don't feel you must follow them exactly: you may wish to produce an interface with your own look and feel; or you may have a particular experiment you wish to simulate; or you mat wish to use the tutorial as a guide and quickly see the experiment working just using the default objects. If you have problems or feel the tutorial could be improved, please let me know. I'd like to hear from you too if you successfully build an interface.
