This certification was created by the Computing Professionals Association (CPA), who worked with Microsoft to create the exam that enables CISA certified IT professionals to access their members’ benefits. Passing the exam requires passing a series of three tests, which include comprehension questions and written sections. The examination is based on the Windows operating systems and is divided into two main parts. The first part focuses on IT knowledge, using modules such as Managing Information Technology (MIT) and Windows Server. The second part of the test covers application usage, which uses modules such as Managing System Information Services (SSIS) and Network Virtualization (NVA).

IT support technicians are required to be knowledgeable about each of the four tiers of Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCPs) and Windows Server Support Expert (DSSE). Tiers I, II and III cover general IT knowledge, while Tiers IV, V and VI involve specialist knowledge on specific Microsoft technologies. The first two tiers of CISA certification exam contains a written section, while the third tier includes a hands-on lab or simulation that allows the testers to work through real problems that might arise in real working environments. The fourth tier of the CISA certification test consists of a written section and a hands-on lab or simulation that allows the technicians to work through real scenarios that might arise in an office environment.

Ceiling Based IT Support is also referred to as Windows Bronze System Administration, Windows Vista System Administration or System Integrator’s certification exams, while Windows Server 2021 System Administration exam has a duration of ninety days and is ideal for technical professionals who support small network shops. This certification exams combine theoretical study with practical sessions that involve network installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and security. These four IT courses are designed to help students understand different aspects of system administration. During the courses, they will be presented with theoretical sessions on topics like managing a network and servers, troubleshooting issues with Windows server, analyzing server problems, planning and implementing a business network, software deployment and design, and software evaluation. IT Trainee Professionals (ITP) also can choose among the three certifications ITT Technical Associate (ITA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCDA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCS) to further their IT training and career. ITT graduates can pursue jobs such as Information Technology Service Specialist (ITS), System Design and Computer Services Specialist (SCS). On the other hand, CISA and MCS students can choose between the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCS) or Cisco Certified Network Engineers (CCNA) certifications.
